James’ Tyler “Who?” Burke (pictured) of the GFBB with a quiet 30 goal campaign, the only one to reach that marker.
Only 14 of 53 platers we had at any point scored more than 10, with the average being 7.17
As a league we were at 0.23 goals/game
The worst goal scorer was Derek’s Kai Howalchuck, Defenceman for Beaver Valley, Who had 0 goals in 39 games played, the other 0 goal men did so in 6 and 27 games. They were all Defenseman
Tyler Burke also topped this category with 27
3 players had 0 but Derek’s forward Gavin Smith had 0 in 29 GP. BRUTAL.
The average player had just under 12 assists
We were averaging 0.39 assists/game
Quick aside here, what a year for PIM. I tried to avoid too many comparisons to last year in a lot of this breakdown, but this is one area where we really improved and that deserves a little recognition. So I just want to get some of that out of the way.
Last year's leader had 120 PIM, that would not be in the top 5 this year.
Last year we had 2 players break the 100 PIM mark, this year there were 9.
We had 739 more minutes than last year in 65 fewer man games played
The average PIM/Player was 12.5 minutes higher
Okay good job guys, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Leader in PIM was Jerome’s Brennon Waterson with 185 although at only 4.4 PIM/GP most of these must have been stick infractions and other minors that kept him in the lineup and off the suspensions page. A good example of how to tow the line.
Leader in PIM/GP was Nick’s Wyatt Ball with 155PIM in 25 GP, good for a 6.2PIM/GP and the only player to break the 5 minute mark.
Just about half the league (20/53 players) averaged a minor penalty or more per game.
No surprise here as top PIM man Brennan Waterson (pictured) tops the category with 242 total points.
Nick’s Eric Chenxi Jian finished with a very sad 10 total points, which is unfortunately going to represent a huge step back for the HDA in Nick’s eyes. Here at the KIJHL degenerate draft we believe hockey is for everyone and any comments made by any of our managers do not reflect the official position of the league or its commissioner.
Derek’s Creston Valley Goalie Brendan Smith came out on top with 1093 saves
I thought about using a wall for his picture but he also let in a lot of goals
Kody and Kamloops goalie Brenner Fyfe tops this category with 15
We are all bad at picking goalies (some worse than others)
Kody's Horne and Nick's Tait had 2 each (pictured: Their child)
With 1000+ saves Brendan Smith was the only one in the running
