It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me. I continue my multi year journey to the bottom. Maybe I need to change my draft strategy. Or cheat. But I’ll probably just stick to what I’ve been doing and hope it turns around. The worst part is I have all these stats I spend countless hours keeping and could totally get an advantage from simply opening the previous years leaderboard and grabbing some guys while you guys are busy taking some random Carter who scored 3 goals in preseason so he’s a lock. I really have no one to blame but myself and the beer industry at large for making delicious 7% beers that I feel the need to drink on draft night. Hey, here’s a fun thought experiment for my fellow commissioner. Gary Bettman, if you’re reading this, allow open alcohol at the draft. It would definitely add some excitement if a visibly inebriated Kyle Davidson selects Francisco Dell'elce 90 spots above projections because he thinks Italian names are funny.
I don’t like greek boys anymore (thanks to a terrible season by Nikolas Dimopoulos)
Manually entered 1621 games to keep the standings up to date
Jace Koole of the Border Bruins had a monster year, putting up 10/15/167 which is good for
2nd in fantasy points, PIM, xGS, and PAA,
3rd in xDD
4th in xGI and FPPG
(Pictured: Jace Koole(r))
Kelowna’s Aiden Morcom had a decent year with 22/26/16 in only 28 games, good for second in scoring on a per game basis with 1.71
Had the most goalie wins (26) with Kamloops’ Fife grabbing 15 for the most in the league and his tandem partner from Princeton Gibson Horne getting 11
Had the highest share of goalie points with 20.2% of my team's total coming from the back end.
Had the fewest team PIM (Pictured: my team) with only 420 (haha) 40% of that was Jace Koole.
Further making the point of how soft my team was, only 2 of them, Koole and Dixon, had positive xDD. The rest were well below average, with Border Bruin Defenseman Russel Kosec being the worst offender at -8.68 xDD
Had the highest share of goalie points with 20.2% of my team's total coming from the back end.
4 of the bottom 10 players in FPPG were on my team.
