Despite being the soberest at the draft he didn’t attend James was unable to put together a winning team. So it turns out he phoned in the draft in more ways than one. We really hope he has the decency to make time for us this coming fall. Inpart because he owes, and is owed, some alcohol and the Kamloops to Osoyoos to Edmonton pipeline is far to slow. Come to us James, we need you.
Spent a week or two looking like he might finish in the top 4.
Had a golden opportunity to voice record the entire draft night and use it as blackmail to win the league, but he chose the high road, and last place, instead (pictured: James on draft night, while we are all having a blast and eating pizza)
James had 1 Jaxon and 2 Jacksons over the course of the season.
Had 2 of the top scorers with 1st place Tyler Burke (30/27/14) and 4th place Cash “Money” Anderson (22/25/12, pictured)
3 of the top 5 scorers on a per game basis were on James’ team
1st Cash Anderson 1.87
3rd Tyler Burke 1.36
4th Asher Lucas 1.33
Asher Lucas in general had a solid season as mentioned a couple times already, his 15/25/55 is not only a nice round stat line, but has him top five in xGI, top five in FPPG with a nice even 5.0, and just narrowly missing the “elite” level of PAA with 49.8.
Last place.
Didn’t come to the draft.
Had the fewest man games played with 290, 12 fewer than the next lowest manager.
To rewrite history here, if we take James’ team average FPPG of 3.3 and add 10 games to bring him to an even 300 games, still fewest in the league, he could potentially be in 4th place instead of 5th. So what’s the take away here? Draft better I guess. (Pictured: James players most weeks)
The 3 top 5 scorers mentioned previously were the only members of his team to score more than 4 goals. Talk about top heavy.
His players had a cumulative PAA of -3.9, more than 3 points lower than next last.
